JinkoSolar announced that it had signed an agreement to supply 1.75 GW of high efficiency modules to a U.S counterparty yesterday. They announced that the company’s board of directors had authorized JinkoSolar to finalize planning for the construction of an advanced solar manufacturing facility

Giant 480MW Japan solar plant plans refreshed with five new participants
Plans for a colossal 480MW solar project in Japan have received a boost with the original three developers and announced another five participants. Construction will start in FY2019. The eight companies that is involved will now work with the Nagasaki prefectural government.

China officially installed 52.83GW of solar modules in 2017
In accordance to the China’s National Energy Administration (NEA), the solar PV installations has reached 52.83GW in 2017, from 34.54GW in 2016, and accounting for around 50% of expected global solar demand last year.

Fotowatio secures financing for 342MW PV portfolio in Mexico
Utility-scale PV project developer Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) has reached financial close for the 342MW Potosí Solar Farm in Mexico. The project, which stands as FRV’s first to be operated in Mexico. FRV closed the financing agreement with KFW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau), Bancomext and ING.
